2026 CMP Driver - Novice

If you would like a specific car number of garage space near someone else let us know, we will do our best to accomodate you but can make no promises.
Drivers considered novice are generally those with little to no prior track experience or who are still developing fundamental skills such as following racing lines, managing braking zones, maintaining situational awareness with faster traffic, and safely executing point-by passing. Novice drivers are very new to learning the technique, track etiquette, and safety procedures as they build confidence and competence on the circuit.
Event organizer retains the final authority to determine and adjust a driver’s run group placement. Organizers may reassign drivers before or during the event based on observed driving ability, prior experience, or instructor feedback to ensure that each participant is placed in the most appropriate group for safe and effective track operation.
