2026 Carolina Motorsports Park

Join us Friday, December 18th and Saturday, December 19th at Carolina Motorsports Park for our 7th annual Auto Paradise JW track day.  Every year this event draws a great crowd of brothers and sisters who have a passion for all things automotive.  This event is open to all brothers and sisters who want to drive, spectate, ride along, or just come hang out.

Driver

This event is open to all drivers 18 years of age or older regardless of experience level, and most types of four wheeled vehicles are permitted.  We will provide classroom and on track instruction to all drivers who are looking to improve their skill behind the wheel.  Drivers will be organized into one of three run groups based on their experience on track and will receive roughly 2 hours on track per day.  Our annual event is not only a fantastic value but it's also the only way to get on track exclusively with other JW's.

If it's your first time on track please be sure to read the full event details below as well as our in depth Frequently Asked Questions page.

Taste of the Track

Taste of the Track is the perfect introduction for drivers who are curious about high-performance driving but aren’t ready to commit to a full track day.  This run group offers a short, structured on-track experience designed to give you a safe and exciting first look at what driving on a real road course is all about.  Participants can explore their car’s capabilities, learn basic track etiquette, and build confidence behind the wheel. It’s a low-pressure way to experience the thrill of the track, sharpen your driving skills, and decide if a full HPDE event is your next step.

Parade Laps

Parade Laps are a unique opportunity for anyone to experience driving on the track in a relaxed, controlled environment.  Open to all participants and spectators with a vehicle, this session is free to everyone and doesn't  require a helmet.  Parade laps allow drivers to take several speed-limited laps around the course while following a lead car.  It’s a great way to see the track from the driver’s seat, learn the layout, and enjoy the atmosphere of a real race circuit without the pressure of high-speed driving.  Whether you’re a first-time visitor or just want to share the experience with friends and family, Parade Laps are a fun and accessible way to be part of the event.

Spectator / Passenger

Even if you aren't driving come hang out and surround yourself with car culture and good association!  Take a walk through the paddock and check out everything from fully prepped racecars, to exotics, and everything in between.  Grab a chair and find a comfy spot to watch the cars zip by on track.  Or if you are feeling more adventurous rent a helmet and ask one of your brothers or sisters to give you a ride along (passengers must be 18 years of age or older)!

Located at 3662 Kershaw Hwy in Kershaw, SC, Carolina Motorsports Park is a 14 turn, 2.27 mile road course which features high speed straights, challenging multi apex turns, and elevation change.  Carolina Motorsports Park hosts a number of race series throughout the year as well as many events with SCCA and NASA.

Camping

Carolina Motorsports Park allows overnight camping during our event, so bring a tent, camper, RV, or hammock and plan to stay all weekend!  Some notes on camping:

  • Official nights camping will be announced closer to the event date.  Generally we are able to camp Thursday and Friday night.
  • December in South Carolina can be cold.  We generally expect overnight lows to be below freezing so if you plan to camp be sure you are prepared for the temprature.
  • There are bathrooms and shower facilities that are open for those camping to use.
  • There are standard 15 amp outlets around the facility, these are free to use.
  • Campfires are only allowed in fire pits which contain and lift the fire off the ground.
  • General and tent camping is free.
  • Camping in a camper or RV requires a paid reservation.  You will reserve these sites directly with Carolina Motorsports Park a month or two prior to the event date (details will be annouced once camping reservations are open).  Carolina Motorsports Park has partial and full hookup sites with 30A, 50A and 100A power.  Prices for these sites generally ranges from $100-$300 for the event.

Covered Garages

Carolina Motorsports Park has 20 covered garage spaces available for rent.  For 2026 these spaces will be available by reservation only so if you want a guaranteed garage space you will need to reserve one and pay the rental fee for your spot.  A covered garage space is a great option if; you need space to work on your car, want a covered spot to park overnight, or want a spot to be out of possible inclement weather.

Garage spaces must be reserved through Auto Paradise.

Passengers

Not only are passengers allowed, we encourage it!  All drivers are permitted to take passengers so long as:

  • Driver must request approval to take a passenger.
  • Passenger is 18 years of age or older.
  • Passenger must have an approved helmet.
  • Passenger must sign the event waiver.

In addition we have low speed parade laps each day which do not have an age limit or helmet requirements so you can get the entire family on track.

Track Insurance

Your car insurance DOES NOT cover on track incidents and your event registration DOES NOT include any coverage for you or your vehicle.  Track day insurance can be purchased separately from compaines such as Hagerty, OpenTrack, etc.  Generally expect to pay $150 per $10k in coverage for track day insurance.

Auto Paradise will be working with OpenTrack to get listed as an approved organizer for 2026 and will have a recommended insurance broker, details on this will be published at a later date.

Food and Lodging

In addition to the option to camp onsite at Carolina Motorsports Park there are lodging options in Kershaw and Camden which are both located close to the track.

One of the evenings we try to do a catered dinner at the track so we can relax and enjoy a good meal and upbuilding association together.  The track also has an onsite food vendor which may be open for breakfast and lunch (details on this as we get closer).  Also the towns of Kershaw and Camden are close enough to run out to for a bite to eat.
