2026 CMP Driver - Intermediate

Intermediate drivers demonstrate a solid understanding of basic track driving principles. These drivers are generally comfortable with racing lines, braking zones, corner entry and exit techniques, and maintaining consistent laps while managing traffic on track. Intermediate drivers typically have multiple track days of experience and can operate safely without instruction. At this level, drivers are expected to demonstrate good situational awareness, execute point-by passing smoothly, and maintain predictable driving behavior while continuing to develop skills such as throttle modulation, weight transfer management, and improved lap consistency.
Event organizer retains the final authority to determine and adjust a driver’s run group placement. Organizers may reassign drivers before or during the event based on observed driving ability, prior experience, or instructor feedback to ensure that each participant is placed in the most appropriate group for safe and effective track operation.
